Adding a language
The Add Language page lets you create a new language file based on an existing language file. Portfolio comes with the following language files:
- American English (en_US)
- Canadian French (fr_CA)
- Spanish (es_ES)
- Catalan (ca_ES)
You can use any existing language file, including a new file you have previously created, as the basis for a new language file.
|
You can edit language files but you cannot delete language files. |
When you add a new language file, the language is listed in the Languages bar of the Admin console and is available in Profiles as a configurable language for creating a custom page element in a profile.
To add a language
- Log in to the Admin console.
- Choose Displays from the navigation pane.
- Choose Language Files from the Displays menu.
- Choose Add Language.
-
Type the language code for the language.
Note: The Language Code you enter must match one of the current language codes defined in the ISO standard.
-
Select the language file to copy from the Base Language drop-down list.
The list includes only those language files that are already defined in your system.
- When you have finished, choose OK to save the language definition and add it to the Manage Languages list, or Cancel to return to Manage Languages without saving the changes.
